Integrating Community Assets and Networks

Overview

Utah County's Integrating Community Assets and Networks (ICAN) program provides individualized support to families working toward greater financial stability and long-term self-sufficiency. Through one-on-one guidance from a Resource Integration Coach, families receive help accessing essential resources such as employment, education, and housing while building the skills needed to address underlying challenges and create lasting success.

ICAN's relationship-based approach connects families not only to services, but to people within trusted community organizations. By strengthening social connections and building social capital, the program helps families move forward with confidence. ICAN also works to reduce barriers that keep families stuck in poverty—including challenges related to the benefits cliff—by supporting families as they transition from government assistance to self-sufficiency and active participation in the workforce. The ultimate goal is to create lasting stability for future generations.
